Miles Davis is widely considered to be one of the most influential black musicians of the 20th century. Davis was at the forefront of almost all developments in jazz from the 1950s to his death in 1991, an influence that spilled over into every other African American music genres. His greatest work included albums such as `Birth of Cool’, `Kind of Blue’ and `Sketches of Spain’.
