| The Police 1980 Promotional Photo Memorabilia (Ref: 174273)
A framed photo of the Police taken in 1980. The Police were one of the first mainstream white bands to adapt reggae into their music. Their breakthrough came with the success of `Roxanne’ which reached No.12 in the UK charts in 1979. This was quickly followed by more success as a re-released version of `Can’t Stand Losing You’ reached No.2 before `Message in a Bottle’ became their first No.1 hit. Eight more top ten hits followed in the next four years. The Police Reunion Tour of 2007 has sold out across all venues, highlighting their continued popularity.
